Book 12: Medical Medium Thyroid Healing

Book 12, the last book in the series was titled Medical Medium Thyroid Healing by Anthony William(check out part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 if you missed them). In these reviews, I share a bit about each of these books, my thoughts, how many stars I’d give it (actually it is how many Jericho’s as I’m using his cute face in place of stars. ;) ), and what other books I've read that month. If you’re interested in health and learning a different perspective on how to heal, give this book a read.

Short Synopsis:

The overall theme is that you are not your diagnosis. Your body is not attacking itself. You did not cause this to happen. Instead, the thyroid virus comes out to play when it is triggered by something else, such as: stress, mercury, pesticides, etc. Thyroid Healing, dives in to the thyroid virus (Epstein-Barr virus [EBV], which is the same virus that causes mononucleosis), the different stages (there are four, with mono being stage two), and three different ways to detox. As a summary, William advises followers to avoid: eggs, dairy products, gluten, canola oil, soy, corn, and pork. He suggests that the best foods for healing EBV include: apples, aloe vera, Atlantic sea vegetables, bananas, berries, celery, cucumbers, parsley, pears, plus many more.

My Thoughts:

I was a little skeptical when I first started reading this book due to the way the author says he obtained his information from “Spirit,” but was willing to give the book a read to see what new information I could learn. I fully believe the Holy Spirit can speak to us, but this guy seemed a little wonky from the start. Anthony claims that this information provided will not be proven wrong, as other health claims are. This is because his information comes from the “Spirit of Compassion.”

William claims “Spirit constantly speaks into my ear with clarity and precision, as if a friend were standing beside me, filling me in on the symptoms of everyone around me. Plus, Spirit taught me from an early age to see physical scans of people, like supercharged MRI scans that reveal all blockages, illnesses, infections, trouble areas, and past problems.”

The information presented logically made sense to me, and maybe the author is correct, but it is hard for me to believe health information without some kind of scientific backup. .

It is an interesting concept that most (if not all) of our thyroid ailments are due to the thyroid virus, EBV. If we have any part of that virus in our body, all it needs is a trigger to start tormenting our cells. Many of us could be living our life, not even knowing that we have the virus; it could be sitting dormant inside of us because nothing has triggered it. Once it is triggered, it can present itself in one of four stages.

Common Triggers

  • Mold

  • Mercury-based dental fillings

  • Zinc and B12 deficiency

  • Pesticides and herbicides, including DDT

  • Overprescribed medications

  • Hormonal changes

  • Financial strain

  • Physical injuries

After William gives his explanation of the different stages, he goes into detail about the different detox plans you can partake in. I read through these and discovered that some of the recipes were quite bizarre in their quantities of fruit. One of the smoothies calls for 2 bananas, 2 cups berries, and 1 orange. I don’t know a single person who consumes that much fruit in one setting. Heck, I don’t even consume that much fruit in a day! Obviously, there are great nutrients in all of those fruits, but it seems a little excessive to me.

Additionally, he has some weird hokey things that I’m not sure I believe, such as “Light Infusion Tonics.” The basics of this include pouring yourself a cup of water and by visualizing yourself filling the water with white light, saying “light” aloud, and repeating this seven times, Angels that are around you will recognize what you’re doing and help you create light. Supposedly “Light Water” has increased healing energy making it more than just a glass of water.

On the flip side, there are some things I do agree with, such as his stance on sleep. He explains that sleep is a right for all individuals and that you do not need to feel any guilt for taking the time to sleep, even if you’re having to say no to other obligations. Sleep is important. Someone please remind me of this after our baby is born. ;)

If you’re curious about the thyroid virus and want to see if this book could help you, my suggestion is to take this information with a grain of salt.

Wow! I cannot believe that it is time to wrap up this series. I hope you enjoyed reading these reviews and maybe even read a few of the books for yourself. It feels appropriate to be wrapping up this series at this time as our first little baby is due in just a few short days. While the types of books (all the picture books instead of chapter books) may change when our little one arrives, I hope to always be reading and sharing that passion with others.
